are commonly thought of as a fringe society notorious for flamboyant lifestyles, thievery and debauchery. They are also called 'Travelers' as they move around nomadic style camping where they can, sometimes 'squatting' on others property. As with any society or culture we have to remember you can't judge all by the actions of a few. It's a culture rich with history and tradition.
On that note, I'd like to share a charming story my aunt Elsie shared with us.
"Talking about gypsy, I remember a band of them traveling through town, camping somewhere nearby. mother was working in the garden when a small group stopped by the wall to watch. She became annoyed and said loudly, "I hope you get your eyes full !" They weren't very welcome, because a lot of things disappeared when they came through."
I can absolutely hear my grandma saying that for she was not one to hesitate to let you know you were irritating her! LOL
